The collection
In keeping with its rich legacy of creating breathtaking marvels that sculpt art with thin air and paint grandiose tapestry in the mind through sound, Sonus Faber has unveiled its top-secret project. The description may be bit poetic but these speakers are that good, it’s almost as if it stimulates some untouched region of the creative mind. Sonus Faber has revamped the Homage Collection the company’s most iconic line, and created Homage Tradition. This new line seamlessly blends classic Italian craftsmanship, the finest materials and most innovative components available into a design that is vastly improved yet still holds the distinctive classical lute shape. Homage Tradition features four elements: Amati, Guarneri, Serafino and Vox.
The project
Sonus Faber is perpetually on the quest to reproduce the perfect sound with every new model and they have made huge innovations along the journey to perfection. The future now meets the past as Sonus Faber marries the innovations learned through constant improvement with their most memorable line yet.
The design
The lute shape of the cabinets is the result of meticulous research and major restyling. The curves of the sides change and double, blending the lines of the Tradition collection with those inherited from Lilium which gives these speakers larger volumes especially on the back. This evolution allows the cabinet to better control internal resonances. Another distinctive design feature draws inspiration from the original Homage collection with the top accent having the same finish as the sides, giving the homage tradition a retro look with the highest quality sound.
The finishes
The homage tradition is available in two lustrous finishes; Red and Wenge. The Red is the familiar stunning finish that is found on flagship models Aida, Lilium and Il Cremonese. You will find traditional walnut wood essence with black inlays combined with brushed black aluminum and black leather. The second finish is Wenge, used for the first time by Sonus Faber, with rich maple inlays meeting brushed aluminum in titanium finish and brown leather.
