705 S3's Carbon Dome tweeter is housed in a Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top enclosure evolved from the latest generation of 800 Series Diamond. That joins a new and subtly curved baffle endowed with an all-new 'pod' housing for its Continuum Cone bass/midrange driver. * Stand(s) not included.

Carbon Dome tweeters are purpose-built for the 700 Series. Delivering a dramatic improvement on the aluminum double dome tweeter, they raise the breakup threshold to 47kHz, for pinpoint imaging accuracy and detail.

The 705 S3 Signature is engineered to deliver sonic brilliance in a more compact form. This Signature stand-mount loudspeaker builds on the performance levels of the Bowers & Wilkins 705 S3, evolving them to new heights. Featuring optimised technology from our most advanced loudspeakers, as well as our proprietary Continuum mid-bass drive unit and Tweeter-on-Top, the 705 S3 Signature utilises an upgraded mid-bass motor system, improved capacitors, revised speaker terminals, plus a more open tweeter grille mesh, as developed for our 800 Series Signature loudspeakers.

Biomimetic Suspension

Sometimes, making a big difference takes unconventional thinking. The transition from our famous yellow Aramid Fiber midrange cones to our Continuum cone technology resulted in a massive improvement to midrange performance. Now, we’ve turned our attention to another crucial element in a loudspeaker cone: the fabric spider. The new Biomimetic Suspension revolutionises midrange cone performance by greatly reducing the unwanted air pressure and coloration that a conventional fabric spider can generate. The result? Midrange transparency you wouldn’t believe possible.

Upgraded crossovers

The new 700 Series Signature models use upgraded crossover designs crafted by our expert engineers. Developed using rigorous testing, Bowers & Wilkins’ engineers carefully optimise these crossovers to perfection, to maximise the loudspeakers’ performance.

The 705 S3 Signature utilises an upgraded mid-bass motor system, improved capacitors and revised speaker terminals for even cleaner, refined sound. Aerofoil™ Profile bass cone Developed using advanced computer modelling techniques, the Aerofoil™ Profile bass cone has variable thickness, providing stiffness and rigidity where it’s needed most. The result is deep and dynamic bass.
