The McIntosh MA8950 Integrated Amplifier features double the filter capacity of its predecessor, expanding dynamic headroom from 2.0dB to 3.1dB. This increase allows the amplifier to handle sudden musical peaks with minimal distortion, keeping high-volume passages clean and accurate. The added filter capacity also improves low-frequency control, delivering tighter, clearer bass playback across every genre.
Modern Digital Connectivity with HDMI ARC:
Equipped standard with the DA2 Digital Audio Module, the McIntosh MA8950 Integrated Amplifier w/DAC provides seven digital inputs, including two coaxial, two optical, one USB, one proprietary MCT connection, and an audio-only HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting a television via HDMI allows multi-channel Dolby and DTS soundtracks to be converted into high-fidelity two-channel audio. High-resolution file support is expanded as well, handling up to DSD512 playback via USB. The chassis features classic styling with blue watt meters and brushed aluminum end caps. System options including instock processing, hideprice parameters, and In Store or In Store Only configurations offer seamless integration choices for any setup.
