The Luxman D-07X operates as a dual-purpose digital source, combining a high-precision disc drive with advanced digital-to-analogue conversion circuitry. Designed to sit at the centre of high-performance audio systems, this model handles traditional disc formats as well as modern high-resolution audio files with clarity and control, applying engineering solutions refined in reference CD Players and dedicated standalone DAC's.

Dual Monaural Architecture:

At the core of the digital processing stage lie two Rohm BD34301EKV DAC chips configured in a dual monaural layout. This configuration processes left and right channels independently to minimise crosstalk and preserve channel separation. Via its USB input, the unit supports sampling rates up to PCM 768kHz/32-bit and native DSD 22.4MHz, alongside complete hardware decoding for MQA files and MQA-CDs across digital inputs.

Vibration-Isolated Drive Assembly:

Optical disc reading relies on the proprietary LxDTM-i mechanism, built with a rigid box structure that encloses the mechanical assembly. Mounted directly onto the chassis side panel, this construction prevents external acoustic energy and internal vibrations from affecting signal extraction. The disc tray is manufactured from die-cast aluminium to ensure smooth operational movement and eliminate mechanical resonance.

Discrete Analogue Output Stage:

Rather than using standard integrated operational amplifiers, the output section utilizes a custom I/V conversion system paired with four discrete buffer modules. Out-of-band digital noise filtering is executed directly within this buffer stage, removing the need for a separate low-pass filter circuit to maintain smooth analogue signal waveforms and supply low output impedance to downstream preamplifiers.
