LAIV HARMONY GaNM Mono Amplifier (Pair)

LAiV Harmony GaNM is a compact GaN‑based Class D monoblock power amplifier designed to deliver serious power and control while keeping noise, distortion and box count low. Each chassis is a true balanced mono amp rated at 200 W into 8 ohms (and 400 W into 4 ohms), so a pair will comfortably drive demanding modern floorstanders while staying composed and quiet.

At its core, Harmony GaNM uses next‑generation Gallium Nitride FETs instead of traditional silicon devices, allowing much faster switching with lower losses and reduced distortion. That technology is backed by a fully balanced signal path and a custom low‑noise switch‑mode power supply built around an NXP TEA2017 controller with PFC and LLC resonant topology. For the listener, this combination is about clean transient control, deep and well‑damped bass (helped by a damping factor of around 500 at 1 kHz into 8 ohms), and a transparent, unforced character that lets your preamp and source define the system’s overall tone.

Each monoblock provides a single balanced XLR input (around 94 kΩ input impedance, 1.4 Vrms sensitivity) and 4 mm speaker binding posts, with 29 dB of gain and specified THD+N below 0.8 percent at full 200 W output into 8 ohms. A 3.83‑inch monochrome OLED display and simple front‑panel indicators show status and channel assignment, while 12 V trigger in/out makes it easy to integrate the GaNM pair into a wider system. The CNC‑milled aluminium chassis keeps each amp compact (about 128 mm wide, 260 mm deep and 119 mm high, 3.9 kg), so they fit comfortably on standard shelves or flanking a preamp or DAC.
