The Hana S Series MK II brings a refined acoustic presentation to the world of High Output MC Phono Cartridges. Designed by master cartridge creator Masao Okada-san, this upgraded model refines both internal generator mechanics and external body dampening to extract deeper detail from record grooves.

At the core of the upgrade is a tapered aluminium cantilever with reduced mass at the stylus tip. By increasing structural rigidity while shedding excess weight, the assembly transfers groove modulations to the generator with high fidelity. This structural change delivers improved clarity, tighter transient responses, and realistic instrument placement across the soundstage.

Critical internal metal elements, including the yoke, pole pieces, and gold terminal pins, undergo sub-zero cryogenic processing. This thermal treatment relieves internal stress in the conductive metals, resulting in lower signal distortion and a warm, natural sonic signature. The non-resonant outer shell features a matte elastomeric resin coating and a heavy brass cap, providing physical dampening with a wide range of tonearms to enhance low-frequency control and dynamic impact.
