About Me

My first job in hi‑fi was over forty years ago, and I’ve been helping people build systems ever since. At Hi-Fi Centre, I wear multiple hats—sales manager, installation manager, and occasionally chauffeur when a delivery truck can’t make it up a driveway. I love exceeding expectations and solving what I jokingly call “first‑world problems.”

My Approach

If someone walks in and doesn’t know where to start, I don’t assume I know what they need based on how they’re dressed or what they say. Instead, I play tour guide: I’ll put on some music on a truly exotic system and let them hear what’s possible. From there, we can step down to more modest setups if needed. Over the years, I’ve learned that the person in sweatpants might have $300 million in the bank and that everyone deserves to hear what great sound can be.

A Memorable Setup

Some of my favourite projects involve the marriage of McIntosh electronics with Bowers & Wilkins speakers. I’ve built systems that could fill concert halls and systems that disappear into the décor of ultra‑modern homes. The most memorable part is often the client—the opportunity to sit in their living room, listen together, and share the joy of music at any scale.
