Product Description

The Pink Faun Scion is a high-performance music server and streamer designed to deliver the company’s renowned digital playback performance in a more compact and accessible form. Developed entirely from the ground up, the Scion combines precision engineering, sophisticated power design, and Pink Faun’s proprietary software platform to create a refined digital source capable of exceptional musical realism.

Positioned beneath the flagship 2.16 Ultra series, the Scion brings much of Pink Faun’s design philosophy to a streamlined platform - offering audiophile-grade streaming with elegant simplicity and uncompromising sound quality.

Advanced Power Supply Architecture

Central to the Scion’s performance is an innovative power supply system developed specifically for this platform. Rather than adapting the circuitry used in the 2.16 Ultra, Pink Faun engineered a new architecture designed to optimize the interaction between power delivery and the internal components.

The system incorporates dual regulated power supplies, including a high-transient supercapacitor-based supply that delivers extremely low noise and rapid energy delivery. Each digital output operates on its own dedicated power rail, ensuring a clean and stable signal path to your DAC and minimizing interference between circuits.

Purpose-Built Software

The Scion runs on Pink Faun OS, the company’s proprietary operating system developed entirely in-house. Designed specifically for audio playback, the software optimizes system resources for timing accuracy, stability, and seamless user control.

This platform provides a powerful foundation for modern streaming environments and is fully compatible with Roon, allowing effortless management of local music libraries alongside services such as Qobuz and TIDAL.

High-Quality Digital Outputs

Every digital output on the Scion has been engineered with dedicated clock circuitry and low-noise regulation to maintain signal integrity.

Available outputs include:

  • USB Audio Output, built around the ASMedia ASM3142 chipset with upgraded clocking and low-noise regulators

  • S/PDIF coaxial and AES/EBU outputs, each designed to deliver a stable, jitter-free digital signal

Each output is powered independently by the supercapacitor supply, preserving signal purity when connected to high-performance external DACs.

Built for Modern Music Libraries

The Scion can be configured with internal storage options designed to grow with your music collection. Available capacities include 1TB, 4TB, or up to 8TB, making it suitable for both modest libraries and large high-resolution collections.

With support for high-resolution formats up to PCM 32-bit/768 kHz and DSD512, the Scion is capable of handling today’s most demanding digital audio files with ease.

Elegant Simplicity, Reference Sound

Housed in a precision-built chassis with passive cooling and no moving parts, the Scion is designed for silent operation and long-term reliability.

The result is a digital source that combines the convenience of modern streaming with the refinement and musicality expected from Pink Faun’s high-end engineering.

For listeners seeking the essence of Pink Faun’s sound in a streamlined platform, the Scion delivers a sophisticated balance of performance, usability, and design—bringing reference-level digital playback within reach of a wider range of systems.
