The Meze ARTA On/Over-Ear open-back headphone creates an immersive acoustic experience reminiscent of listening to high-end stereo speakers in a dedicated room. Developed in collaboration with Rinaro, the design places instruments within a wide three-dimensional space, projecting sound outwards to eliminate the closed-in feeling of conventional head-fi setups.
Linear Output and Driver Efficiency:At the heart of Meze Audio engineering sits the MZ5 HΩ planar magnetic driver running at an average impedance of 225 ohms. This high-voltage, low-current approach maintains total harmonic distortion below 0.05% across a vast 3 Hz to 115 kHz frequency spectrum. When driven by a high-grade desktop headphone amplifier, the sound signature remains warm-neutral, rich, and naturally detailed without introducing listening fatigue.
Acoustic Geometry and Lightweight Build:Structural design heavily shapes the acoustic performance of the earcup architecture. The open-back earcups incorporate angled internal blades to control reflections and guide airflow cleanly out of the enclosure. Constructed with carbon fibre, leather, and precision-cut aluminum elements, the chassis balances long-term durability with balanced weight distribution for extended home listening sessions.
