Hybrid Tube and Solid-State Architecture:
The McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amplifier is the first hybrid integrated amplifier design from McIntosh, combining vacuum tube preamplification with direct-coupled solid-state power. The preamplifier stage employs two 12AX7a and two 12AT7 vacuum tubes inside protective cages to deliver smooth analog texture and tonal depth. Driving 100 Watts per channel into 8 Ohm speakers or 160 Watts per channel into 4 Ohm speakers, the solid-state output stage ensures dynamic authority and precise loudspeaker control.
Pure Analog Signal Paths and Customizable Control:
Built exclusively for analog sources, the McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amplifier provides two unbalanced RCA inputs, one balanced XLR input, and a Moving Magnet phono stage for vinyl playback. All four inputs feature customizable naming on the front display panel to simplify source identification. Onboard bass and treble tone controls enable custom balance tuning, while a dedicated full-range subwoofer output allows seamless connection to a powered subwoofer for expanded low-frequency response.
