LAIV LExt Harmony Phono Preamp

Harmony LExt PHONO is a compact phono preamp module designed specifically to add a high‑quality turntable input to the Harmony HP2A, using LAiV’s proprietary LE‑LINK connection instead of a separate external phono stage. It lets you plug a turntable directly into the HP2A and treat vinyl as a first‑class source in the same system that already handles digital and headphones.

The module provides a dedicated phono input on RCA with selectable loading, so you can match a wide range of cartridges properly. Input impedance can be set to 22 Ω, 47 Ω, 100 Ω, 470 Ω, 1 kΩ or 47 kΩ, covering both moving‑coil and moving‑magnet designs, and gain is specified at 70 dB, which is sufficient for low‑output MC cartridges without additional step‑up devices. Distortion remains low (≤ 0.02% at 1 kHz, ≤ 0.01% from 20 Hz–20 kHz), and power is taken directly from the HP2A over LE‑LINK, so there is no extra wall‑wart to deal with.

Physically, LExt PHONO follows the same small footprint and finish as the HP2A, with matching silver or black chassis and a simple connection via the supplied LE‑LINK cable. The design keeps the signal path short and lets the phono stage behave as if it were built into the HP2A from the start, rather than a generic outboard box.
