LaiV Harmony uDAC Digital to Analog Converter

LAiV Harmony uDAC is a compact, high‑end R2R DAC that brings much of the full‑size Harmony DAC’s architecture into a smaller, simpler box for desktop and system use. It uses the same discrete, balanced resistor‑ladder conversion (with 0.05% tolerance resistors) and a discrete Class A output buffer, so the focus stays on natural tone, clarity and an easy sense of flow rather than hi‑fi brightness.

Despite its size, the uDAC is well equipped. USB‑B, coaxial, optical and HDMI I2S inputs handle everything from a computer or streamer to a dedicated digital transport, while a balanced XLR output with low output impedance makes it straightforward to feed integrated amplifiers, preamps or active speakers. Support for PCM up to 32‑bit/768 kHz and DSD up to DSD256, along with NOS/OS modes and I2S clock‑in, means it can keep up with modern hi‑res libraries and more advanced digital setups.

An Accusilicon AS318‑B ultra‑low phase‑noise femto clock and galvanic isolation between digital and analogue sections help keep jitter and interference extremely low, which shows up as clean transients, very low noise and stable imaging rather than obvious “effects.” The unibody aluminium chassis is milled from a solid billet for rigidity, thermal stability and a neat, compact footprint that suits both desktop and rack use.
