Recreated by designer Derek Hughes, the speaker pairs a custom 200mm bass and midrange driver developed alongside Volt Loudspeakers with a selected Audax soft dome tweeter. Built around a cast aluminum frame, the polypropylene cone produces tight, accurate bass response, while the tweeter delivers clean high-frequency clarity without listening fatigue. Technical teams rigorously test each driver individually before final assembly to ensure precise tonal matching.

Traditional Thinwall Cabinet Construction:

Crafted in the UK from high-grade 9mm birch plywood, the cabinet follows classic BBC thinwall design principles to keep structural colouration to a minimum. Mass-loaded internal panels shift unwanted vibrations away from critical mid-range frequencies, while internal fabric-backed damping absorbs standing waves inside the enclosure. Finished in hand-matched real wood veneers, the exterior maintains a clean aesthetic thanks to concealed rare-earth magnets securing the front grille.
