The Estelon XB Mk II shares its predecessor’s qualities of impeccable audio reproduction, along with the curved-sculptural styling that is tailored to excel in a smaller listening environment. It remains true to the X-Series’ expansive soundscape delivering a precise performance.

The upgraded XB Mk II sports a redesigned crossover network, along with new cabling, that assist in the refined balance, crystal-clear clarity, and the most accurate reproduction. The perfect speaker system for those seeking to experience thrilling sound throughout the whole frequency spectrum.

The 158mm (6.25”) mid-woofer has a ceramic membrane providing a very clean impulse response with very low total harmonic distortion (THD) and intermodulation distortion (IMD) products. Through continuous improvements and developments, the right amount of damping is used to maintain a linear frequency response.

The 25mm (1”) inverted dome alpha corundum tweeter is made by Accuton. Typical to high-quality hard domes, the impulse response is outstanding, the distortion is kept very low, and the first break-up modes are pushed out of the audible range.

The woofer works in a bass reflex chamber. The port is on the rear side of the cabinet eliminating the influences of the midrange frequencies.

The 220 mm (8.7”) ceramic sandwich woofer has been designed by Accuton engineers. It has an extremely stiff and lightweight membrane along with a very long linear excursion. It can reproduce a truly deep, accurate, and effortless bass. The combination of the cabinet design, construction, woofer and its positioning, crossover, and mating with the room acoustics and associated electronics has been said to sound like “live bass”, which is the result of meticulous engineering.

The speaker cabinet has no parallel walls. Most of the walls are curved so the standing waves in the cabinet are spread out, minimized in magnitude. In addition, the curved shape aid in rigidity. The combination of the heavy and rigid marble-based material, curved shapes and internal bracing, suppresses the cabinets’ inherent resonances to almost non-existent levels. The drivers have everything to support them to perform their absolute best.

The soft curves of the cabinet eliminate the effects of reflective diffraction from the drivers’ output, thus the directivity of the speaker is homogenous and wide.

Precision Driver System

Features a 220 mm (8.7″) ceramic sandwich woofer, a 158 mm (6.25″) ceramic mid-woofer and a 25 mm (1″) inverted-dome tweeter all developed with Accuton. The woofer gives deep and accurate bass, while the mid-woofer and tweeter deliver clean impulse response and very low distortion.

Advanced Crossover & Cabling

The XB Mk II uses high-end components such as transformer-core and air-core inductors, Mundorf SESGO capacitors, and Kubala-Sosna internal wiring. The crossover is housed in its own chamber and uses direct-coupled star-wiring which helps minimise signal path length and vibration effects.

Cabinet Engineering for Acoustic Puritty
