Point-Source Co-Axial Driver Layout:

A standout feature of this cabinet is the co-axial mounting of the twin tweeters, positioned directly over the centre of the main bass driver. Aligning the high and mid-frequency drivers along the same central axis ensures that sound waves arrive at your ears simultaneously. This creates cohesive time alignment and crisp stereo separation, allowing vocals and instruments to sound completely natural even when listening at close range.

Sealed Infinite Baffle Bass Control:

Unlike ported enclosures that rely on reflex tubes, the LS3/1 employs a sealed infinite baffle design. Paired with a custom-modified large bass driver, this acoustic loading provides tight, controlled low-frequency extension without low-end boom or port noise. Combined with traditional BBC thin-wall dampening principles, the cabinet minimises resonance so you hear clean, uncoloured sound exactly as recorded in the control room.
