Driven by 160 watts RMS of dedicated Class D amplification and integrated digital signal processing, the system maintains a balanced frequency response from 40 Hz to 22 kHz across medium to large living spaces. Comprehensive physical and wireless connectivity includes a high-resolution USB-C DAC, Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX Adaptive, optical TOSLINK, and dedicated stereo RCA inputs with a switchable moving-magnet phono preamplifier.

The Hi-Fi Centre Team Take

Living with the Tuk Grand reveals an expansive, authoritative stereo soundstage characterised by remarkable low-end weight that eliminates the immediate necessity of an outboard subwoofer. The pleated Air Motion Transformer tweeters render micro-detail and swift transient attacks cleanly without inducing listener fatigue over prolonged sessions. Direct input switching and active crossover filtering make daily operation fluid whether listening at quiet background levels or reference playback volumes. The rigid, dense cabinet construction keeps resonances thoroughly damped so that dynamic musical peaks remain controlled and transparent.

Key Acoustic & Design Features

Air Motion Transformer: Pleated AMT tweeters deliver rapid transient speed and low distortion for clear, fatigue-free high-frequency dispersion.

Aluminium Woofer Integration: The 6-inch concave aluminium cone produces controlled, low-distortion bass response extending down to 40 Hz.

Active DSP Crossover: Onboard digital signal processing optimises driver balance and automatically activates an 80 Hz high-pass filter when an external subwoofer is connected.

Authorized Dealer Guarantee: Hi-Fi Centre is an Authorized Dealer providing full manufacturer warranty protection and dedicated lifetime technical support.

Technical Specifications

Brand & Model: Kanto Tuk Grand

Speaker Type: 2-way powered bass-reflex bookshelf speaker system

High-Frequency Driver: 28 mm x 35 mm Air Motion Transformer (AMT)

Low-Frequency Driver: 6.0-inch (152 mm) concave aluminium cone woofer

Amplification: Class D, 160 W RMS / 320 W peak total power

Frequency Response: 40 Hz – 22 kHz

Crossover: Active digital signal processing (DSP) with automatic 80 Hz sub high-pass filter

Digital Inputs: 1 x USB-C DAC (24-bit/96 kHz), 1 x Optical TOSLINK (24-bit/96 kHz), Bluetooth 5.4 (aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, AAC, SBC)

Analogue Inputs: 2 x Stereo RCA line pairs (one switchable to MM phono stage with ground terminal)

Outputs: 1 x Subwoofer out (RCA), 1 x USB-A power port (5V, 2A)

Finishes: Matte Black, Matte White, Walnut

Dimensions (W x D x H): 21.8 cm x 29.5 cm x 35.0 cm per speaker

Total Weight: 15.1 kg (pair)

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a separate phono preamplifier to connect a turntable?
No. The Kanto Tuk Grand features a switchable moving-magnet (MM) phono stage and dedicated ground terminal, allowing you to connect a turntable directly without external preamplification.

How does connecting an external subwoofer affect the speakers?
When an active subwoofer is connected to the RCA sub-out, the internal DSP automatically engages an 80 Hz high-pass filter, redirecting low-bass frequencies away from the woofers to enhance midrange clarity and dynamic headroom.

Can the Tuk Grand connect directly to a computer?
Yes.
