OVATION SD Streaming DAC – a completely different animal: The new SD 8.3 heralds a completely new category of AVM components with streaming capabilities. Both components combine an analog pre-amplifier with 2 analog line inputs, DAC with DSD, streaming lient, web radio and a high performance headphone amp, all into one unit. We call them Streaming DAC or short: SD.

In the OVATION Tube Line Stage of the SD 8.3 creates a unique warm and natural sound reproduction. This is technology is compiled into an OVATION Line cabinet size well known from our modular PA 8.2 pre-amplifier.

Since these SD units may serve as full-blown pre-amplifiers, combining them with our power amps SA 6.3, SA 8.3 or MA 6.3 & 8.3 is a logical consequence. Furthermore the SD 8.3 may as well be combined with active speakers. With the new SD 8.3, so called computer audio comes to the OVATION Line. A completely new combination of analog pre-amplifier, streaming client, DAC with DSD and headphone amp creates a new category of digital sound center for listeners with a focus on digitally streamed music from different sources.

Two ESS 9018 K2M Sabre32 DACs per channel are being applied. This way even the digital domain the music signals are being processed in balanced mode. High precision clocks are being applied. The voltage regulators are separated for both DACs and the supply voltage is regulated twice. This decouples the DAC entirely from other parts of the digital circuitry. The AVM streaming engine allows countless formats to be processed and is upgradeable making it future proof for additional formats.

All orders are processed within 48 hours from date of order.

We offer Free Ground Shipping on all orders regardless of size.

If you would like to receive your order quicker you can request Express shipping during Check-Out in the Comments section. Additional charges will apply.
In-stock items are shipped from our Vancouver warehouse and will reach major Canadian cities in 5-7 business days.
Items not in stock will either ship from one of our manufacturer partners' warehouses or in rare cases first must be sent to Vancouver and then to you.
- If the expected arrival to you will be more than 7 business days you will be notified by email and at that point you will have the option to proceed or if you cannot wait then order can be cancelled.

Returns Policy

We will gladly:

(a) exchange a product that is not special ordered, or shipped from one of our partner warehouses, for a new product of equal value (product purchased must be unopened)
(b) exchange a product if it is defective or damaged for the same product

within 15 days after the product has been delivered to you.

Returns for refund are not accepted.

For an exchange, you must notify us by email at info@hificentre.com. We will acknowledge receipt of your email by reply and assist you in returning the product as identified below. Make sure to send and have your return package post marked within the 15 days after the product has been delivered to you.

Exceptions:

Headphones may not be returned or exchanged for any reason, only defective units will be replaced for the same model
Items that have been opened may not be returned

Cancellations:

Notwithstanding the foregoing, you may cancel an order if the product is not delivered to the delivery address on your order form within 30 days of the date your order is accepted.

To cancel, you must notify us by email at info@hificentre.com. We will acknowledge receipt of your email and process the cancellation.

Returns Packaging:

Products returning for exchange must be unused and in their sealed, original factory packaging.

Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
